Parsippany–Troy Hills Rotary Club
The Parsippany - Troy Hills Rotary Club, founded in 1963, has undertaken many local, national and international projects. These projects have included providing heart surgery for children in countries that can not perform sophisticated procedures, aid and assistance to disaster victims, food for the hungry.
What Do We Do Locally?
- Dictionary Project: every year Parsippany Rotary provides every third grader with a new dictionary.
- Safety Town: this annual program teaches 60+ preschool and kindergarten children about danger stranger, bus safety, fire and ambulance safety, bicycle and pool safety.
- Distinguished Service Awards (DSA): The Outstanding Citizen of the Year, Outstanding Educator, Outstanding High School Student, Outstanding Law Enforcement Person, Outstanding Health & Safety Person, Outstanding Small Business Person and The Dean Gallo Vocational Award are given every year to honor and acknowledge the people in our community.
- College Scholarships: each year Parsippany Rotary gives scholarships to graduating seniors.
- Handicap Playground: recently the handicap playground at Knoll Park was rededicated with the help of the Parsippany Rotary.
- Officer Phil: This program is designed to educate children about safety, crime prevention, values and
responsibility and is given to all our Parsippany Elementary Schools.
- Parsippany Library: Parsippany Rotary donated funds to help build the children’s room at the new Parsippany Public Library.
- Interact: Parsippany Rotary sponsors an Interact service club in both Parsippany High Schools.
- Annual Contributions: Project Graduation, Parsippany Food Bank, Operation Sunshine, Operation Holiday, Parsippany Child Day Care Center and Camp Merry Heart are just a few of the organizations and events we support.
